When a Man is Poisoned It Is Said Like That
A Reverse Speech Investigation of the Death of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada

The Speech Reversals of Others

There were of course many people on the scene, but the recordings were made specifically to capture every word of Srila Prabhupada, whom most disciples recognized by this time as the greatest personality whose every word had value. These recordings therefore mainly capture the words of Srila Prabhupada and the small circle of close disciples who immediately surrounded him. At times others were present and their voices were also captured. These other voices are valuable to us for through their speech reversals they provide us with additional supporting information. It is clear that on an unconscious level everyone present was aware that the poisoning was taking place. In this chapter others indicate their involvement, showing us that more than Tamal and Bhakti Caru were involved. Other reversals indicate innocence.
I again appeal to anyone who has tapes of this period, particularly which include voices of those other than those depicted here, to come forward with them for analysis. There is much more to be learned which has been covered for so long, but which cannot remain hidden due to the amazing phenomena which the Lord has endowned us all with in the form of Reverse Speech.

These reversals have been selected for their pertinent content. The quality is less than perfect for some but generally reasonably acceptable.

Krishna Das: I tell ya, I snitch     T38 Side B Counter 518-584
[Bengali]
This is a significant reversal. On November 8th Srila Prabhupada tells the Kaviraj that he has been given poison. Tamal picks up on this conversation and interrupts asking "Who said that? Krishna Das?" and later on the same tape on the same day Tamal again asks Srila Prabhupada if someone told him that he was being poisoned. The curious thing about this is that if you were to learn that someone is being poisoned, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Stop and pose this situation to yourself. What do you think of first? For most people it is natural to ask "who is poisoning?" Instead of this response however Tamal asks "who said that?" He is more concerned with who said it than the fact that it was being done! (Of course, he was doing the poisoning and he therefore is anxious about who revealed the fact!) This speaks of a conspiracy and that someone has leaked the secret.
Prabhupada did not indicate who told him when he was asked by Tamal, perhaps fearing that violence could come to that person, or knowing that he was compeletely helpless and had no recourse. In fact, even after Prabhupada had revealed the fact to Balaram Misra no authorities arrived to investigate the situation. As it turns out, Tamal’s hunch was correct—Krishna Das snitched as he reveals in this speech reversal. Since Krishna Das, a resident of Vrindavana, knew of the poisoning, one has to wonder how far this web of deceit stretched and what means were employed to keep everyone quiet. Of course it is a well known fact that practically any authority in India can be bribed and this may already have been taken care of. It is said that the town of Vrindavana was abuzz with rumor after his death (or perhaps before) that Prabhupada was poisoned by his leading disciples. This "rumor" may have entered the town through this same source, Krishna Das.
Balaram Mishra: They push, they rotten the milk     T44 Side A Counter 298-320
[Hindi]
Balaram Mishra is Prabhupada’s old friend and the first person to whom Srila Prabhupada reveals that he is being poisoned. In this conversation Mishra confirms by this reversal that someone had "rottened" or poisoned his milk. They push may indicate that his disciples had pushed him into an early grave, or pushed to take control of the Hare Krishna movement.
Balaram Mishra: Go on, talk about your enemy T44 Side A Counter 380-410
[Hindi]
In this reversal Mishra encourages Srila Prabhupada to speak more about "his enemy." Apparently Prabhupada needed coaxing to bring up the subject of poisoning. It is important to note that Prabhupada only brought up this topic of being poisoned with other Indians. He never brought it up to his Western disciples, probably not knowing who he could trust. Having been told by Krishna Das that his disciples were the one’s who were poisoning him he perhaps thought that only the Indian men would have the wherewithall to intervene.
Bhavananda: Roscelyn     T45 Side B Counter 077-140
[he’s up, ah]
The forward speech was weak and poorly recorded and the reversal therefore is weak and difficult to hear. You may have to turn up your volume control to hear it well, but it's there. Bhavananda speaks the diabolical metaphor, roscelyn. This metaphor indicates extremely deceptive behavior, externally appearing very nice and proper, but underneath harboring terrible thoughts and deeds. The implication from this speech reversal is that Bhavananda was involved in the conspiracy to some unknown degree. If he is innocent all he need do is speak boldly and declare it to be so, and allow himself to be taped for Reverse Speech analysis. If he is innocent the fact will clearly reveal itself. If he is a guilty accomplice that fact will also be revealed. Perhaps the willingness of certain individuals to allow themselves to be taped, in light of this analysis, will in itself be telling, if not incriminating. The fact is though that the principal players will not be able to be silent on this matter forever, and we hope that all those who aspire for the truth will keep their tape recorders handy and capture any pertinent comments or conversations on the topic!
Bhavananda: Said the opposite; very bad T45 Side B Counter 455-484
"Only [factor at this point is] not to take any unnecessary risk"
This is self-talk where Bhavananda chastises himself for speaking the opposite of what he should have. The proper response for a sincere disciple is to carry out the desire of the guru, but instead of offering to do so, he is presenting arguements that no "unnecessary risk" be taken, meaning that Prabhupada should not travel. Bhavananda's Higher Self recognizes the fau paux and speaks to its gravity.
Bhavananda: Said that in a death — that’s bad     T45 Side B Counter 455-484
"Only factor at this point is [not to take any unnec]essary risk"
These reversals: this one, the preceding, and the following, are an expression of his Higher Self as a portent of Srila Prabhupada’s passing. Further, this reversal, following immediately after the one above refers to saying the opposite in the context where death will take place as a result of his encouragement. Again his higher self is telling him that his action is very bad, and confirmed in the following reversal.
Bhavananda: The end — it's bad     T45 Side B Counter 455-484
"We will all sit down and discuss the different arrangements [that have to be made."]

Bhavananda: Our guru met with arsh     T46 Side A Counter 074-128
Your guru maharaj used to have bullock cart [travel from Hulorghat up] to the Caitanya Math.

Bhavananda confirms that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned by his use of the metaphor "arsh." A comparative reversal.
Bhavananda: Not my bruise     T47 Side B (100)  Counter 343–458
[Srila Prabhupada]? We'll just lift your shoulders a slight bit so that we can pull
This reversal is provided to give another example of "Srila Prabhupada" in reverse. Prabhupada was so tender at this point that he would easily bruise. The simple act of lifting him could leave bruises on his body. This reversal occurs just as Bhavananda is preparing to move Prabhupada and his concern about bruising him while doing this shows up in this speech reversal. He may have been thinking that he is careful enough when helping him that he doesn't leave any bruises, and therefore any bruise observed would not have been his fault. It is unknown however, as we don't know his mind at the time he spoke these words. Most of the reversals presented herein are comparitive reversals which are created based upon the emotions of the speaker. This is discussed above in the chapter describing the nature of Reverse Speech.
Bhavananda: Can you live on your belly?    T 05
[He left the night I left.]
This reversal is preceeded by two speech reversals by Tamal and Satadhanya which mention the word snake. Bhavananda replies with the query "Can you live on your belly?"  Is this to become the future of those involved in killing Srila Prabhupada?
Satadhanya: He off’s him, dad says    T38b Side A
And also Jayapataka Maharaja [says that the site] where they are thinking of building
This and the next speech reversal by Satadhanya give another confirmation of the killing. To "off" someone is a well known slang word for killing. Here he indicates that knowledge of this came from "dad," or Prabhupada. The next speech reversal, which follows immediately after this one in forward speech gives the motive — they want to get the dough (money). Recall that Prabhupada also said they were after his money in one of his speech reversals.
Satadhanya: Wanna get their dough    T38b Side A
And also Jayapataka Maharaja says that the site [where they are thinking of] building
This reversal follows immediately after the previous one and gives an explanation for the killing: they want to get the money ("get their dough"). Dough is of course a well known slang term for money. This was also confirmed by Srila Prabhupada who in reverse stated that they wanted his money. Kill you guru for his money??? What kind of love is this? What kind of understanding is this? Abysmal.
Satadhanya: You ju-just tell it, I’ll do it     T38b Side A
In Mayapura, when they heard that Your Divine Grace was coming, [it was like electricity.]
It is rumored that Satadhanya was a go-for, a person who could be counted on to do errands, and not one of the main conspirators. This speech reversal and the next one confirm that he was involved in either making or delivering the poison, and perhaps performing other services. Was he paid for his efforts? Although he is reportedly not from a wealthy family, as a renunciate without any significant following he managed to finance the purchase of property and house near the Mayapur temple. It was speculated that perhaps he embezzeled the money from the temple, but perhaps it was earned participating in this crime. The following reversal is his confession to making the poison, his participation in this heinous activity.
Satadhanya: Making muck I need a lot of help     T38b Side A
purchased very nice fruits and vegetables of all different varieties, and Prabhupada could choose which he liked—[portal, jinga, so many things].

Jayapataka: We are led    T45 Side B Counter 425-455
"that even that your body is going to, is got [a life] of six to ten years"

In this conversation Jayapataka is telling Prabhupada how an astrologer has indicated that he could live six to ten years longer. That would have been possible had he not been poisoned by these "disciples." This was also confirmed in a dream told to me by a sincere disciple wherein Prabhupada told the dreamer that he would have lived another ten years if he hadn't been poisoned.
This speech reversal indicates that somebody is leading them. Either he is referring to Prabhupada as their leader in spiritual life, or this could be an excuse/confession that the conspirators are all led. There are not enough speech reversals of Jayapataka to say definitively what his involvement was. This can however be clarified through an interview of Jayapataka, and his culpability can be revealed or completely cleared up by Reverse Speech analysis.
Jayapataka: There, you all {knew} that snare     T45 Side B Counter 455-484
"You will be [translating while you’re] traveling?"
Jayapataka here is referring to an upset in the plans. Recall that Tamal also mentioned a snare when it was being decided that Lokanath would lead the party taking Srila Prabhupada on parikrama. Again they are speaking of traveling and Jayapataka now refers to a snare. Was he involved in the conspiracy? There are insufficient reversals of Jayapataka to say conclusively that he was, yet the similarity of these reversals with Tamal’s expression leaves one to wonder. Anyone who had any significant contact with Srila Prabhupada during the last 18 months of his life should be deposed and their testimony subjected to Reverse Speech analysis. All of the culprits may be found out by this method as the truth is always revealed in speech reversals.
Jayapataka: Yea, I laid with love / Yea, I do snow     T45 Side B Counter 542-625
"For you Srila Prabhu[pada, to be alive] / [or to die] is no different"
Two reversals are presented here and are to be heard as separate wave files. They could possibly be separated by a semi-colon as they are connected conceptually. Together they indicate that although love was present there is some obfuscation taking place. The first reversal  ("Yea, I laid with love") is a factual indication that he was very close with Srila Prabhupada, but the second ("Yea, I do snow") indicates deception. Snow is a Reverse Speech metaphor which can mean to obscure something, as one’s vision is obscured in a snow storm. Together they form a sort of confession that even though Jayapataka was extremely close with Prabhupada he still is involved with this deception. This would indicate that Jayapataka may at least be knowledgeable of what is going on and covering it up, if not participating in carrying it out.
Svarupa Damodar: Sound, we cannot waste it     T46 Side A Counter 413-453
"Srila Prabhupada, we are ready to take the instruction [that you have kindly given us,"]
Another interesting reversal which demonstrates the nature of speech reversals. Svarupa Damodar is speaking of Srila Prabhupada’s instructions, and how the disciples are ready to take those instructions to heart and not be wasted. This speech reversal completely supports that idea. The instructions come in the form of sound, and they must not be wasted—they must be taken to heart. This is the type of sentiment observed in the speech reversals of a sincere disciple.
Brahmananda: I'll help save ya, but I need a rope     T05
This meeting? [Well, the ah, meeting was led by] the three men who came to see you this morning.
Brahmananda offers to help Prabhupada in this speech reversal, but explains with a metaphor that he will need help (I need a rope). This speech reversal indicates that Brahmananda was not likely a party to the conspiracy. With so few speech reversals though it is impossible to draw any conclusion.
Devotee: (I) slash the prophet     T46 Side A Counter 074-128
[If Prabhupada travels] in a van it would be very bumpy. He should have a big bus.
This unknown speaker states that they slash the prophet. Srila Prabhupada is the prophet. Another confirmation that Prabhupada did not die a natural death. Who is this person?
Devotee: Need not fear people in heaven     T46 Side A Counter 074-128
If Prabhupada travels [in a van it would be very bumpy]. He should have a big bus.
This same person's mindset is that they may slash the prophet with impunity! The demigods, or universal controllers of earthly affairs need not be feared. How bold! How foolish!
Devotee: Hail of arsenic     T45 Side B Counter 455-484
"was some ris[k in traveling."]
Another unidentifiable voice which confirms the poisoning by arsenic with this reversal. After so many references to arsenic, heavy metal, and muck, can there be any doubt?
Devotee: What could have been the fault?     T45 Side B Counter 455-484
["Well from the medical] point of view it’s something with the organs or something."
A reasonable question, just like Lokanath raised. Why did you do it? What could have been Srila Prabhupada’s fault? He had none yet they killed him for their own selfish motives.
Devotee: This is in revolt     T45 Side B Counter 455-484
"Well from the medical point of view it’s something with the [organs or something."]
The poisoning is absolutely a revolt against the person who started the Krishna Consciousness movement and gave these "disciples" everything that they had. What was not given was usurped in a foolish, heartless and surreptitious coup.

These speech reversals reveal a revolt was indeed going on. These and all of the other speech reversals presented above present a convincing case that Srila Prabhupada was deliberately poisoned by his closest followers. No other conclusion can be drawn which is consistent with all of the data gathered here and from other sources. These allegations have been raised elsewhere based upon other evidence, notably Prabhupada's own statements to that effect, and whispers inadvertently recorded on these tapes which speak of putting poison in Prabhupada's milk. (Please see Nityananda's Book for other evidence).

Nityananda Das has thoroughly researched the effects of arsenic poisoning and made a comprehensive study of Prabhupada's health history. This study shows that Prabhupada was the victim of arsenic, and by this study mercury and perhaps other poisons. Early evidence has been summarily dismissed by the power structure of ISKCON in advance of a serious and detailed investigation. Such behavior by itself is all too typical of authorities who have a name or position to protect, but in this case involving a person considered to be the direct representative of the Supreme Lord, it is shocking and negligent to say the least. I lament that those charged with protecting Srila Prabhupada's own institution have not seen fit to get to more aggresive in getting to the bottom of this matter for Prabhupada's sake alone, what to speak of all of his followers and all of posterity. I have therefore sought out the truth as an independent, un-commissioned party. Using the tool of Reverse Speech I have been able to uncover considerable direct testimony spoken by the perpetrators themselves, and it is all presented herein for every individual to consider and thereupon draw their own conclusion.

Those reading this document already have the tools to examine the veracity of Reverse Speech and I heartily encourage them to experiment with recordings of their own voice. Such an  investigation of Reverse Speech will undoubtedly give the method greater credibility to those with such direct experience.

The wealth of information in these tapes has provided us with amazing insights. And as if these individual speech reversals were not enough there are several conversations which can be observed occuring entirely within Reverse Speech! These conversations demonstrate how our communication is infinitely more complex, and complete, that we could have ever imagined. A single reversal may legitimately be said to be coincidence, but entire phrases, sentences and conversations can only be possible by the Lord's amazing creation imbued with His unlimited potency.
